Baseball — Three former Rebels were selected in the 2010 MLB draft, held June 7-9. Pitcher Matt Hutchison was taken in the 25th round by the Philadelphia Phillies. Catcher Drew Beuerlein was taken in the 32nd round by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Outfielder Jarred Freierson was taken in the 36th round by the Atlanta Braves.

Beuerlein earned second team All-Mountain West Conference accolades in 2010. He hit for a .355 average, with 10 home runs, 60 RBI and 29 walks.
