Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon Movie Review Default Thumbnail

Going into Transformers 3D: Dark of the Moon, I wasn’t sure what to expect. A fan of action movies and epic computer generated fights, the previous two Transformers films still left me disappointed.

An hour and a half into the third installment of Michael Bay’s blockbuster series, I was feeling the same way, that is, until the climatic final battle began.

All of the sudden I was on the edge of my seat, getting mercilessly sucked in to the clashing of steel and insane explosions that tend to define Michael Bay’s latest movies.

There is something different about Dark of the Moon —I think the 3D effects — that really got me hooked.

The way the battles are shot show off the depth of the immense conflict and make the nearly hour long war of the Autobots and Decepticons a truly memorable one. It is one of the best action sequences I have seen in years.

It is a shame though that it comes more than half way into an otherwise bad film. Like I mentioned before, the film drags from the beginning, failing to make its interesting 1960′s race to the moon premise anything more than a silly mash-up of old television footage and extras watching a CG rocket fly into outer space.

The film also has way too many useless characters who do little to advance the plot and instead make the film much longer than it really needs to be. I still can’t figure out what John Malkovich and Ken Jeong are doing in this movie.

Those faithful to the series will definitely find lots to like here. For those that are not so easily lured by always sweaty Shia LeBeouf and new hottie Rosie Hunnington-Whiteley, I’d still recommend the film for the fabulous action at the end. Just show up late.

Transformers 3 was absolute crap..i actually thought it couldnt be any worse than Revenge of the Fallen but i was so wrong!

who writes the story and script for these films – they have obviously never seen the transformers universe before! they have spent 3 films (nearly 9 hours) wasting character after character..i cant even begin to write whats wrong with Dark of the Moon as i have a job and would get sacked for spending all day typing why Transformers 3 was such a let down.

the movie was fantastic, i want to see it again and again. There is no word to express it.
I would like to requdst one thing to writers please don’t out shia labeouf from next part because he is only man who fits for that role if other play his role there may be chances that people pay less interests without shia.
