Daniel W. Hamilton has been selected as the third dean of the William S. Boyd School of Law. He will start serving July 1.
Hamilton currently serves as the associate dean for faculty development and professor of law and history at the University of Illinois College of Law. He has written a number of articles about American property ideology and has been published in the Chicago-Kent Law Review, the Journal of Supreme Court History and the Journal of American History, among many others.
The Boyd School of Law is one of the top 100 law schools in the nation, according to the U.S. News & World Report, and reached its highest ranking this year, placing 68th overall.
