UNLV will celebrate its annual Halloween event on Tuesday, inviting the local community to tour the Tonopah Residence Hall which is dressed up just for the occasion.
TAKE BACK THE NIGHT
This week will bring the 20th annual tradition of Take Back the Night, an event devoted to honor survivors of all types of violence and abuse and to celebrate recovery. A candlelight vigil will be hosted to remember the victims of abuse, and later activities will be accompanied by food, art and music. The tradition provides victims and supporters the platform to speak out against violence and make their voices heard to the community.
A survey conducted in fall 2012 asking undergraduate students about their reasons for switching majors is finally completed, and the results will be announced this week. The Rebel Voice Commission and UNLV will present the results on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. in Student Union room 211 and Thursday, Oct. 24 at 11 a.m. in Student Union room 205.
