In the United States, the FDA has confirmed that ArnMessager vaccines like those made by Pfizer / BioNtech and Moderna can pose risks for myocarditis and pericarditis. These side effects can occur a few hours after an injection.
In fact, myocarditis is simply inflammation of the heart muscle. Likewise, pericarditis is inflammation of the tissues around the heart. The FDA, anxious to warn citizens, has therefore decided to warn of these potential dangers, which, however, remain relatively minor.
FDA recognizes new vaccine-related side effects
In fact, since the vaccination campaign began, 29 cases of myocarditis have been recorded with Pfizer vaccines and 5 cases with Moderna vaccines in the US. These symptoms occur between 3 and 10 days after the second dose of Pfizer and between 2 and 14 days after the second dose of Moderna.
The profit, more and more important
Of all of these patients, 93% have fully recovered or are currently recovering. No need to worry about the FDA Commissioner Janet Woodcock, who to date the benefits of vaccines are far more numerous, about the risks associated with the disease and what it could bring with it. Yet new solutions are still being explored, such as aerosol vaccines or more traditional and less intrusive treatments.
